Hire your Masters or Bachelors Lace Gown & Hood with The Varsity Shop

Masters and Bachelors lace Gowns, hoods and headwear are available to hire, please select your graduation date for 2024/2025.

Collections can be made the day prior to graduation or on the day and all hired items should be returned on the day or the day after.

The Lace gown is black polyester, with a form of black lace sewn on the collar, the lower part of the back and down the sleeves, which are closed and cut straight, but have an opening just above the elbow.

All hoods are Dean Burgon shape in black polyester and are lined with the fur/colour to represent each degree, please see image gallery for reference.

BCL Hood – Mid Blue, with a double row of faux fur.

BPHIL Hood – Navy lined with a white satin trim.

BM / BMBCh– Mid Blue, with a double row of faux fur.

D ClinPsych – A dark royal blue hood, lined with red satin

D Eng – A claret hood, edged with grey and lined with petrol blue.

MCH – A black hood, lined with dark blue satin.

MBA –A claret hood, lined with dark grey satin.

MFA – A yellow hood, lined with white satin. 

MJUR – A mid blue hood, trimmed with white faux fur.

MLitt – A mid blue hood, lined with dark grey satin. 

MPhil – A navy blue hood, lined with white satin.

MPP – A navy blue hood, lined with silver satin.

MSC – A mid blue hood, lined with dark grey satin.

MST – A dark green hood, lined with white satin.

MTH – A black hood, lined with magenta satin.

UGM – A black hood, lined with sand satin.

College Delivery – Please check with your college they are happy to accept delivery of your items before booking, please note we are unable to deliver to the following colleges: Exeter, Magdalen & St Edmund Hall, due to university regulations.
